Miriam is a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and is qualified to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication for children, adolescents, and adults. Miriam has over 16 years of nursing experience and is enthusiastic about providing quality, compassionate and comprehensive mental health services to her clients. Professionally, Miriam has a history of diverse roles in numerous care settings from an RN in psychiatric emergency rooms to administrative roles overseeing quality of care/patients’ rights for numerous psychiatric facilities. Miriam believes in creating an individualized plan of care that values client involvement, interprofessional collaboration and evidence-based practice.
Miriam received a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University San Bernardino.
Miriam is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, American Psychiatric Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, and is a fellow of the inaugural American Psychological Association - Interdisciplinary Minority Fellowship Program.
When not in the office, Miriam enjoys being out in nature, traveling, spending time with loved ones and partaking in self-care activities such as meditation, listening to music and staying organized.
